Does that dog on the cover of the May 2002 issue of Dog Fancy look familiar? It should. It's me! Last summer I was at an agility clinic when Cris Kelly, a professional photographer in Napa, came by to take some photos of agility dogs in action. I thought that was that, but several months later Cris learned that Dog Fancy was going to do an issue featuring Weimaraners. She called my dad to see if she could take some pictures of me to submit to the magazine. We went to her studio where she took a bunch of pictures. She said I was a good subject, but my dad wasn't so sure: every time she took a picture I got up to see what all the light flashes were about. She took a whole bunch of pictures, and then we had to wait five months to see if the magazine would use any of them. As it turns out, they only used one. But it was the one for the cover!
